Dakbhari Kathmandu —>Pokhara

Image
Wow! Today was an amazing day!  It’s rare opportinity to experience 2 Saturday worship services at Kathmandu Dakbhari on the same trip !     Their worship is second to none and lead by a group of anointed/talented young adults !  They truly know how to usher in the Holy Spirit!   Shane shared a message about “faith without works is dead” from the book of James.  Challenging them to action!   I shared a message from Mathew 9 —about the harvest being plentiful in Nepal ….praying that many of them would travel to other parts of the country to share the Gospel!  Pastor Raju had a sermon relating the Bible to our GPS for life and to Heaven!   This is my 16th time to Nepal but I’ve only had a chance to visit the Rasuwa district of Northen Nepal!  Today we had an opportunity to fly to Pokhara in Western Nepal!    This city is beyond beautiful !  It is surrounded by the magestic Himalayan mountains towering above the clouds. Nessing miracle !

Image
We spent 2 nights in Nessing. The church is being rebuilt, so Pastor Kuni let us camp at his abode. My tent was set up on a cool little plateau and out my front window was the incredible Langtang. I wonder if God was boasting, maybe just a tiny bit, when he blew creation into this part of the world? This place is breathtakingly beautiful. We woke up, had breakfast, worship and fellowship. What a great way to start a day with strong, devoted men breathing life into one another. We step off confident in the fact that the enemy can not harm us and will scatter in our presence. Our first house visit is with a lady who has not walked in over a month. She had some sort of wound on her leg and became very weakened during her period of rest. I prayed and prayed for the woman, but God spoke to me and not her. He said “why are you asking? You have the authority to trample snakes and scorpions, if you want her to walk, have faith and declare it so.” I declared “this woman will stand now and she w...

Gatlang church

Image
The Gatlang church is growing and thriving! You’re so encouraging to see the believers gather on a Wednesday evening to study and hear the word of God!  I had an opportunity to share a word from Matthew 9:37-38 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:37-38‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.9.37-38.NIV It’s always Awesome when Pastor Raju translates and adds a few extra color words to make a sermon more funny and understandable!!    We commissionedAnd prayed over the Gatlang  church people and challenged many of them ‘Go’ to reach the surrounding villages on the mountain. Shane had a chance to pray deliverance over a man that had been dealing with “evil spirits “. We are believing for his deliverance and healing !

Dakbhari Sanghati

Yesterday was a full day! Of course we started with the essential rooftop devotions to hear His voice and meditate on his word before the busy day.  “Pastor “ Tara wrote this mornings devotional and it was spot on of what we needed to hear !   Such a timely message of trusting in the power of Jesus!     Shortly after, We met a young girl who came to church seeking prayer and healing for 1 month of abdominal pain and bleeding she had been suffering from. She had  gone through 3 procedures (D and C) in the last month and still suffering.  It was amazing that God provided Benita, a 22 year old OB/Gyn nurse to help translate!  I remember Benita  6 years ago when she came as a translator on one of our missions and said she was inspired to become a nurse one day! We evaluated the lady , gave her medications and prayed healing over her!   Please pray for compete healing over the young lady.     Worship at Dakbhari  church in Kathmandu...

A heart for their Country

I have been blown away by the young believers in the Dhakbari Church . This is the church we have been partnering with for over 16 years!! Their faith is so strong. Their love and desire to not only teach current believers but reach non-believers is incomprehensible in my American mind. For instance, I was chatting with some young men today and asked them about a recent mission trip they went on. They were very humble and I had to gently pull the story out of them. But here it is, 10 of them walked… for 2 weeks… to pray.  Whoa, whoa, whoa, what? These young men walked for 2 weeks, not knowing where they would sleep, get water or get food. They walked with limited supplies, while getting rained on. They walked in remote valleys and the sides of massive mountains where roads are often washed away or covered in landslides. Their purpose was to walk to a very remote village near the Tibetan border that was void of believers, and they would pray. They prayed for a foothold so that they ...

Dream Church

Image
We had a wonderful opportunity to meet up with and pray over Pastor Jomesh from Dream church in Kathmandu!   Is a huge blessing to be able to see what God is doing in a through Dream Church!  Pastor Jomesh wanted to send a special thanks Pastor Mike and to Inspire church for the generous financial support for their new building. He shared in a video message that  Pastor Mike had prophesied over him over 10 years ago that he would one day be a pastor of a church!    He is a visionary and has plans to reach this new generation for Jesus!  Please pray for Pastor Jomesh and his church ministry in the Kathmandu valley.

Kathmandu Morning Devos at Dakbhari guest house.

Was an awesome morning getting ready for the day. Of course we were up super early due to the time change. Definitely feel his His presence with us as we prepare to head up into the mountains.

Leg 3 of 3 complete !

Praise the Lord after 3 flights and 30+ hrs of traveling we made it to Kathmandu !   We had a slight hiccup checking back in for final flight in Bangkok ! We were 26 kg over and they wanted to charge us $15/kg over :(. After shuffling and taking things out and loading our carry on bags to the max  we were still 17kg over.  I kept praying for favor πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ and pleading with the agent.  After saying “please please please “ she finally gave in and said “that’s ok” and let our bags in without any extra fees!   Praise Jesus for his goodness !   Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and will updates when we have connection soon!!!   Many blessings and Aloha!

Starting our journey to Nepal

Image
Aloha All!  Shane and I start our 2 journey to Nepal!  This is a special post-Covid scouting/relationship building trip.  Of course we plan to do medical house visits, meet with village/church leaders, encourage local believers, explore new unchartered areas, and of course share His love and message with all thise He leads us to.   No exact set itinerary/schedule … but will go when and where He leads us !     I can’t believe that it’s been since 2018 that I was last in Nepal.   I’ve been missing this beautiful country but even more so, I miss the beautiful people of Nepal!!  I know God loves these people and is doing a great thing in Nepal!    They have forever left a lasting imprint on my heart.   2006 was the first year I said , “YES” to going on a medical mission trip to Nepal!   My life has never been the same….. I’ve been wrecked for good!  Each year we have partnered with a local church in Nepal and have brought...
